Seoul, South Korea (September 8): American Tom Watson and German Bernhard Langer head a cast of golfing superstars that will be breaking new ground in Asia this week.

The newly-opened Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea is the venue for the US$3 million Posco E&C Songdo Championship, the first Champions Tour event to be staged on Asian soil.

The event, and the Champions' Tour's first foray in Asia, has been described as a significant development by PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem. He said: "The Korean market is an important one to the PGA Tour, and we welcome this addition to the Champions Tour schedule and the opportunity to further elevate golf in South Korea with an event of this magnitude."
